What is Project Zomboid?
Project Zomboid is an isometric open-world survival RPG set in the Knox County outbreak. There is no winning: you scavenge, fortify, farm and treat your own injuries while hunger, boredom and infection work against you, and death is permanent.
On a multiplayer server the world persists between sessions, so the base you built and the loot you cleared are still there when the group logs back in. Most groups run with 4 to 32 survivors.
How do I create a Project Zomboid server?
Choose a plan and your server is deployed instantly with its own address. Mods are installed from the panel: pick a Workshop item and we write the WorkshopItems, Mods and Map lines into your server ini for you, which is the part people usually get wrong by hand.
Your players do not need to install anything. Steam downloads the same Workshop items for them when they join, so a mod list only has to be set once, on the server.
